The United States government annually spends trillions of dollars on every product and service imaginable. The government requires a portion of the total federal budget ($2.57 trillion in 2006) to be set-aside as an annual spending requirement through contracts with minority-owned small businesses that participate in the 8(a) Business Development Program of the Small Business Administration.  Any branch of the government is accessible including, but not limited to, the Department of Defense, US Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Interior and the Veterans Administration.
